COLOMBO, Feb. 4 -- INS Karanj, an Indian Navy submarine arrived on a two-day visit to Colombo, on Saturday (3) and was received ceremonially by the Officer of the Guard of Sri Lanka Navy.

The High Commissioner of India in Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha, visited the submarine on Saturday and interacted with the Commanding officer, Commander Arunabh and his crew. During the stay, Arunabh is scheduled to call on the Commander of the Western Naval Area Rear Admiral Saman Perera at Western Naval Headquarters.

On Saturday, around 100 nominated personnel from the Sri Lanka Navy were also briefed about the Submarine onboard.
