While there were murmurs that he was in the film after all after the initial premieres, much before the actual theatrical release, there were no spoilers on social media and when the reveal finally happened on July 25, 2025, it was that he had a role, but not what was widely speculated. The shot of the sari-clad person's leg in the trailer was not Raj; instead, he was seen as Karunakar guruji, a spiritual 'guide' brought in to exorcise the spirit of Sulochana From Someshwar from the protagonist, Ashoka, played by director JP Thuminad.
