India, Sept. 1 -- Actor Karthi's long-pending Vaa Vaathiyaar film has finally gotten an update. The film, which has been in the making for a while and is awaiting release, will soon hit theatres. The makers on Monday announced that the film will release in December this year.

We had earlier reported that Karthi will be headlining a film titled Vaa Vaathiyaar. The film is helmed by Nalan Kumarasamy, who has earlier made critically acclaimed films like Soodhu Kavvum, and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum.
