Mumbai, Dec. 10 -- Tamil star Chiyaan Vikram's Thangalaan was long overdue for its streaming release. However, the film has now been dropped unceremoniously on Netflix. Initially expected to arrive on streaming just four weeks after its theatrical run, audiences had to wait nearly 17 weeks to watch it from the comfort of their homes.

Vikram has also seemingly moved on from the project. He hasn't commented on the much-awaited arrival of Thangalaan on streaming platforms through his social media handles. The actor is now focused on his upcoming movie, Veera Dheera Sooran, which is expected in cinemas in January next year.
