Mumbai, Sept. 10 -- Veteran actress Surekha Sikri, who was seen in Badhaai Ho and had also bagged the National Award for her performance, had suffered a brain stroke a few days back. She is in the hospital in Mumbai, and hospital authorities have claimed that she isn't responding sufficiently to treatments.
According to a report in TOI, the hospital authorities, where Surekha Sikri is now being treated, claimed that the treatment would take some time because she suffered an acute stroke. An official was quoted saying, "The clot will have to be removed by medicines (thinners). Surekhaji is also in a bit of a confused state of mind. She isn't responding sufficiently."
