India, July 4 -- Sidlingu 2, the sequel to the 2012 state award winning coming-of-age film, brought director Vijay Prasad back with leading man Yogi. Sonu Gowda stepped in as the leading lady in the sequel, which released in theatres in February 2025. Prior to the release, director Vijay Prasad had been very vocal about rectifying the mistakes of his duds, Thothapuri 1 and 2 and Petromax, all of which were films that mixed adult comedy with philosophical ideologies.
