India, May 30 -- Ranveer Singh is not producing a new series based on the iconic superhero Shaktimaan, his team confirmed, amid fresh speculation following remarks made by Mukesh Khanna.

According to recent rumours, Singh is reportedly in talks to produce a new series based on the character Shaktimaan, continuing the Shaktimaan heritage. These rumours surfaced after an interview in which Khanna, who portrayed the original Shaktimaan on the Doordarshan show in the 1990s, stated that Singh had shown a great desire to play the superhero.
