India, June 27 -- The Kannada film Puppy, by debutant director Ayush Malli, came to theatres in early May and told the story of a lost puppy and the boy who found him, set against the backdrop of migrant workers from North Karnataka in Bengaluru and their daily struggles. The film opened to positive reviews, with the sincere look at migration being specifically called out as one of its major highlights.
