India, Feb. 24 -- Tharun Bhascker made a strong mark in Telugu cinema with his debut film Pelli Choopulu, starring Vijay Deverakonda, which even won the National Award. After directing two films, Tharun shifted gears and turned actor. He is now doing back-to-back projects as a solo lead.

His latest release, Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi, is the official remake of the Malayalam superhit Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. The family drama hit theatres on January 30, 2026, but unfortunately ended up as a flop at the box office. Despite its theatrical failure, the film has generated decent buzz for its digital premiere.
