Mumbai, Jan. 28 -- Mission Mangal director Jagan Shakti has been in the hospital since Sunday and had to undergo a critical brain surgery the following day. Several reports suggested that the filmmaker was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed while he was with his friends.

It was reported that Jagan had blood clots in his brain and needed immediate surgery after he was admitted. His condition was reported to be critical.

The latest updates on his health came from filmmaker R. Balki who told Mumbai Mirror that he was recovering well. "Jagan is doing well post the surgery and there is nothing to worry about now."
