India, Dec. 28 -- This is not the first time Jotirao and Savitribai Phule's life story gets a dramatic version with prominent actors portraying the titular roles to bring the history to India to light. From the DD National show Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule (2016), the Kannada drama Savitribai Phule (2018), the Marathi series Savitri Jyoti (2019) to the Hindi biopic Phule (2025), there have been several projects that depicts the couple's story. After Pratik Gandhi-Patralekhaa's movie, JioHotstar (also accessible via OTTplay Premium) brings a Marathi TV show, Mi Savitribai Jotirao Phule, which releasing on January 5, 2026.
