India, Aug. 29 -- Takaya Hashi, a celebrated veteran Japanese voice actor and actor, known for his roles as the intimidating Toki in Fist of the North Star and Kakuzu in Naruto Shippuden, passed away at the age of 72.

Takaya Hashi also provided the Japanese voice for Alan Rickman, Professor Snape in Harry Potter, and was the voice of Emhyr var Emreis in The Witcher 3. Hashi passed away from a heart attack on August 27, 2025, at the age of 72. Apte Pro has officially reported that Takaya Hashi has died of a heart attack. With his demise, anime will never be the same again.
