India, Sept. 30 -- It is the Kantara Chapter 1 week, so all eyes, will, no doubt, be on the theatrical performance of actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty's prequel to the 2022 mega hit, Kantara. There's no other Kannada theatrical release this week, and the competition, the Dhanush-directed Idli Kadai, does not have a Kannada dubbed version. The Hindi film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is getting a limited release in Karnataka, compared to the volume of screens/shows that Kantara is getting in different languages, mainly Kannada. On OTT, there are a couple of films that may pique interest, but, otherwise, it is a dull week for Kannada.
