India, Oct. 1 -- A massive 2,500 odd screen premiere opening on October 1 across India - that was the prediction for Kantara Chapter 1. But that seemed like a distant possibility even on the morning of October 1, when there was no sign of bookings opening and a 6.30 am start on October 2 looked more likely. Late on September 30 there was a lot of will they, won't they, when several movie halls opened bookings and cancelled them shortly after, including in Chennai.
