India, Oct. 9 -- Kantara Chapter 1 has had a very successful first week at the worldwide box office. The film, which released in theatres on October 2, has outdone the 2022 Kantara, which had ended its run with a worldwide gross of Rs 408 cr and is currently the second-highest grossing film from Kannada, after KGF Chapter 2. All eyes are on Rishab Shetty's prequel, and whether it will equal or even surpass records set by the Yash starrer. Going by the current trend, though, it looks unlikely for Kantara Chapter 1 to dethrone KGF-2.
