India, Jan. 28 -- Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 winner Roopesh Shetty's film Jai, which was his latest directorial venture, was a Tulu-Kannada bilingual that released on November 14, 2025. The Tulu version, of course, fared a lot better than the Kannada one at the box office. It also marked the Tulu film debut of Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, who hails from the coastal belt. The film's satellite and digital rights had not been sold pre-release, even though Roopesh's track record as a Tulu director has been good, with hit films like Girgit and Circus.
