India, Sept. 3 -- There is one line in the trailer of filmmaker Sarthak Hegde's featurette Green Girl - "We must protect the gods, who are meant to protect us". This more or less sums up the central crux of Sarthak's film, an interfaith love story that follows the fallout thereof. Mayur Gowda and Sucharita headline the film, which is going beyond the festival circuit and heading to theatres on September 12.

In the film, they are Jeevan and Ameena, a much-in love Hindu-Muslim couple, in a tense and religiously divided backdrop of Karnataka. He dreams of a life with her, far away...
