India, Dec. 2 -- In a little over a week, Darshan Thoogudeepa will have the second release of his career that he's not been around for. More than a decade after Saarathi came out when he was under judicial custody in a domestic violence case filed by his wife, Vijayalakshmi, Darshan has The Devil coming out. He is in jail yet again, albeit on a more serious charge. Although it was initially thought that the team would wait for the actor to be released again - on bail or acquitted after the trial - given that there was no time frame on how long this could take, they decided to go ahead and bring the film to theatres in his absence. December 12, 2025 was announced and the team began promotions as well.
