India, Sept. 2 -- It seems to be the season of cameos for Malayalam stars. After Dulquer Salmaan, Tovino Thomas, Antony Varghese and Basil Joseph showed up in cameo roles in this year's Onam releases, it's now the turn of the superstars - Mohanlal and Mammootty.

Mohanlal has already canned his portions for Dileep's Bha. Bha. Ba, an entertainer that also has Vineeth Sreenivasan and Dhyan Sreenivasan. OTTplay has now exclusively learnt that Mammootty, who is set to resume shooting Patriot after his health setback later this month, could also be seen in a cameo role in the wrestling entertainer Chatha Pacha.
