India, Jan. 6 -- Akhanda 2 was one of the most-awaited films of 2025 as Balakrishna was teaming up with director Boyapati Sreenu for the fourth time. It was initially scheduled to hit the screens on December 5, 2025, but was postponed just a few hours before its premiere shows due to financial issues.

The financial problems were so severe that the makers had to pay close to Rs 50 crore to release their film. Finally, on December 12, 2025, Akhanda 2 released in theatres with very good occupancy across the Telugu states. However, extremely disappointing word of mouth hampered the film's performance soon after its release.
