India, Jan. 28 -- If one were to follow the fan groups of particular superstars in the Kannada film industry, what stands out is that they not only foster vehement dislike for other actors, but also for their films, to the extent that they will not watch (at least in theatres) movies that do not star their idol. Prime example in Sandalwood would be the feud between fans of Challenging Star Darshan and those of Kiccha Sudeep. There are other examples too in the Kannada film industry, but what sets this apart from the fan culture in most other industries is that in celebrating only the work of their idols and nothing else, they are, in turn, harming the prospects of Kannada cinema.
