India, Dec. 28 -- The makers of the upcoming Malayalam multi-starrer, Athiradi, have dropped a character poster today (December 28). It features a glimpse of one of the lead actors Basil Joseph's character, Samkutty aka Sam Boy, in this film.

The recent announcement shows the actor and director's look in this full-fledged entertainer. It shows Basil in a brand-new avatar as a youngster running with a bag against a vibrant backdrop, dressed casually and with grown hair. This has only increased the buzz for the film, which is confirmed to be released in Onam in 2026. Character posters of the rest of the lead actors, Tovino Thomas and Vineeth Sreenivasan, are expected in the coming days.
