Mumbai, Nov. 1 -- Sivakarthikeyan-starrer war biopic Amaran opened to a massive reception and has become one of the most popular Diwali releases from the South. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, Amaran features Sivakarthikeyan in the role of the late Major Mukund Varadarajan, with Sai Pallavi portraying Mukund's wife, Indhu Rebecca Varghese.
