Mumbai, March 13 -- The newest Scream installment has undergone significant changes. After the success of Scream VI, which achieved the franchise's highest opening weekend box office when it premiered in March, a seventh film was announced in August.

While the seventh film is still in progress, the franchise has encountered a setback with reports stating that several cast members will not be reprising their roles for the sequel. In a significant development for the upcoming movie, Neve Campbell has announced her highly anticipated return, confirming that Kevin Williamson, the original writer of the 1996 Scream movie, will also direct.
