Gorkha, Jan. 31 -- year-old, Ram Bahadur Rana, from ward 5 of Arughat Rural Municipality, died after falling off a moving tractor in Gorkha district on Friday.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Indra Prasad Subedi of the District Police Office, Rana was travelling on the tractor from Arkhet to Machhakhola when the accident happened at ward 3 of the rural municipality.

Police had launched an investigation after discovering an unidentified body, which was later identified by his father. DSP Subedi said their preliminary findings suggest that Rana was run over by the tractor's rear tyre after the fall.

The body has been sent to a hospital in Arughat for a post-mortem.
