Dolpa, Nov. 18 -- Seven temporary police posts in upper Dolpa, near the Nepal-China border, have been relocated to the district headquarters in Dunai following heavy snowfall and a sharp drop in temperature.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ruk Bahadur Khadka said the posts in Shey-Phoksundo, Chharka Tangsong, and Dolpabuddha rural municipalities were moved due to harsh conditions. "Most posts in upper Dolpa are temporary and lack proper facilities. With permanent buildings, police could stay year-round, but in temporary structures, extreme cold poses a serious risk," he added.
Posts in areas including Dho, Nijal, Tinjhe, and Phoksundo were relocated, while three permanent posts in Saldang, Kagkot, and Lasyikyap remain operational year-r...
