Kathmandu, Oct. 17 -- Nepal on Friday clinched the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifier title, defeating Samoa by 124 runs in their final match at Al Amerat Cricket Ground, Oman. The team remained unbeaten, winning all matches from the group stage through the Super Six round.
This is the biggest tournament Nepal has won in competitions organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). In October 2018, Nepal won the Eastern regional tournament held in Malaysia for the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier.
Nepal have already secured their berth at the 2026 T20 World Cup, in a second consecutive entry for the Rhinos, who had first played the top match in 2014.
