Siraha, March 13 -- Siraha police have arrested two more individuals in connection with the rape and death of 17-year-old Rinku Kumari Sada of Bhagwatipur in ward 1 of Nawarajpur Rural Municipality in Siraha.

The suspects are 55-year-old Kari Sada and 66-year-old Ramdev Sada.

According to the District Police Office, Siraha, they were detained on Sunday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Kumar Paswan, spokesperson for Siraha police, said the district court has remanded them in police custody.

Police said the duo was allegedly involved in holding the so-called "panchayat" proceedings following the rape. The total number of detainees has reached ten with the new arrests.
