Kathmandu, May 8 -- The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that the country is currently experiencing the effects of a westerly disturbance and local winds, with partial influence of moisture-laden air from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.

According to the division, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions and mostly clear elsewhere during the day. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions. Some areas of the high mountains may witness light snowfall.
