Kathmandu, May 4 -- Light rainfall has occurred in Kathmandu and some hilly regions of the country due to the influence of westerly and local winds, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
In its latest weather bulletin, the division said that moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal are also having a partial impact on the country's weather.
This afternoon, skies across the country are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds, with light to moderate rainfall, are likely in some areas of Koshi and Lumbini provinces, as well as other hilly regions.
There are also chances of light rain and snowfall in some parts of the country's hilly and mountainous regions.
