Kathmandu, May 16 -- According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather on Friday is expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly regions across the country, with chances of light to moderate rainfall in some areas and light snowfall in high-altitude regions.

In Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, the high hilly and mountainous regions may witness light snowfall at one or two locations, while hilly areas may experience thundershowers with lightning and light to moderate rain during the day and night. The Terai regions in these provinces are likely to remain partly to mostly cloudy.
