Kathmandu, March 9 -- The westerly and local wind system is affecting Nepal's weather, with partial cloud cover in the hilly regions while the rest of the country remains mostly clear, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

This afternoon, the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are expected to experience partial cloudiness, while other regions will see generally clear skies. Light snowfall is likely in a few places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and other hilly regions will see partial cloud cover, while the rest of the country will remain clear.
