Kathmandu, June 15 -- The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy across the country on Sunday, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning likely in many areas.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces and a few areas elsewhere are likely to receive light to moderate rain this afternoon. One or two places in Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati may also experience heavy rainfall.

Light rain or snowfall is likely at a few locations in the high-hill and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki, and at one or two places in other high-elevation areas.
