Kathmandu, July 13 -- The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that monsoon conditions will persist across Nepal over the next 24 hours, with a likelihood of light to moderate rain in most regions and heavy downpours in some areas.

According to the division's forecast issued at 6 am on Sunday, generally cloudy conditions are expected nationwide. A few places in the hilly regions and isolated locations elsewhere may experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. One or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces are at risk of heavy rainfall.
