Kathmandu, July 1 -- The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy across the country on Tuesday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

There is a chance of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and at a few other locations elsewhere.

One or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces could see heavy rainfall.

Light to moderate rain or snowfall is likely at a few places in the high hilly and mountainous regions.

Tonight, the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces will remain generally cloudy, with partly cloudy conditions elsewhere.
