Kathmandu, Jan. 24 -- Westerly winds are currently affecting Nepal.

Hilly and mountainous areas in Sudurpashchim, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali Provinces are mostly cloudy. Light rain with occasional thunder and lightning has been reported in some parts of Sudurpashchim, while the weather remains mainly clear elsewhere.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, this afternoon clouds will generally cover the high hilly and mountainous regions, with partial cloudiness in other areas. Light snowfall or rain is possible in a few high-altitude locations. The Division has also forecast light rain in one or two places in other parts of Gandaki and Karnali Provinces.
