Kathmandu, Jan. 14 -- Fog blanketing parts of the Tarai is likely to gradually lift by midday on Wednesday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The division said Koshi and Gandaki provinces' high hill and Himalayan regions will see partly cloudy conditions during the day, while the rest of the country will remain mainly fair.

At night, fog is expected to return to some Tarai areas. Partly cloudy conditions will persist over the high hills and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki, with mostly clear weather elsewhere.

"The country is under the partial influence of westerly winds at present," the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.
