Kathmandu, Jan. 10 -- Fog and mist will continue to affect parts of the Tarai over the next 24 hours, though conditions are expected to improve gradually after midday in some areas, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

In its forecast issued at 8am on Saturday, the division said dense fog in most Tarai areas of Koshi, Madhesh and Lumbini provinces would begin to clear after noon, while fog is likely to persist until midday in much of the remaining Tarai. Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces are expected to see partly cloudy conditions, with the weather remaining mostly fair in other hilly and mountainous regions.
