Kathmandu, Dec. 29 -- Dense fog is likely to affect most parts of the Tarai until midday on Monday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

In the afternoon, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions. A few places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces may receive light rain or snowfall, the Division said.

At night, fog will persist across much of the Tarai. The hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces will remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the country is expected to see mainly fair weather.
