Kathmandu, Dec. 28 -- Fog and mist are likely to affect most parts of the Tarai throughout Sunday, with reduced visibility expected until at least midday, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

In its 24-hour forecast issued at 8am on Sunday, the Division said fog or mist would prevail across the Tarai of all provinces, particularly during the morning hours. Weather in the hilly and Himalayan regions is expected to remain partly cloudy.

A few places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces are likely to receive light rain or snowfall during the day. Similar conditions are expected to persist at night, with fog continuing in most Tarai areas.
