Kathmandu, Dec. 27 -- Fog is expected to persist across most parts of the Tarai on Saturday, with a higher likelihood in the Tarai of Koshi province until midday and in other Tarai areas even after noon, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The division said the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim, along with parts of Gandaki and Lumbini, will see partly cloudy conditions, while the rest of the hills and the Himalayan region will remain mainly clear.

There is a chance of light rain or snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Gandaki province during the day.
