Kathmandu, Aug. 6 -- The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that several parts of the country are likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours due to active monsoon conditions.
According to the division, most hilly areas in Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces will remain mostly cloudy throughout the day, while other regions will see generally cloudy skies.
"Moderate rain is likely in some areas of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in the hilly regions of Koshi," the division said in its forecast issued at 6am Wednesday. One or two places in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces could also witness heavy downpours.
