Kathmandu, July 6 -- The Tibetan refugee community in Nepal commemorated the 90th birth anniversary of their exiled spiritual leader, the 14th Dalai Lama, with a ceremonial programme on Sunday. Tenzin Gyatso, known globally as the Dalai Lama, reached the age of 90 today.
The celebrations were held in two key locations: Lazimpat, where the Tibetan Refugee Welfare Office organised a formal gathering, and Jawalakhel, where members of the Tibetan diaspora came together to pay tribute through prayer and traditional rituals.
