Bhairahawa, Feb. 17 -- Three Nepali pilgrims lost their lives in a road accident early on Monday morning while returning from the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, India. The accident took place in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India, on the Baranasi-Azamgarh highway.
According to Superintendent of Police Ranjit Singh Rathore, the chief of Rupandehi police, the deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Ganesh Khanal, 35-year-old Deepa Khanal, and 40-year-old Geeta Sharma, all residents of Devdaha Municipality-9 in Rupandehi.
Five other individuals were injured in the incident, including Kopila Pokhrel and her son Shubham, Abishkar Parajui and Yamkala Devi Magar from Devdaha-9, and the Indian driver of the vehicle, Ritesh Dubey.
