Kaski, May 14 -- Three people died in a microbus accident at Lameahal area along Prithvi Highway in ward 32 of Pokhara Metropolitan City on Wednesday.

The vehicle heading for Pokhara from Dhading swerved off the road and plunged around 35 metres below. According to Inspector Shova Pandey, chief of the District Traffic Police Office in Kaski, there were 11 people on board when the accident occurred.

She said eight people are receiving treatment in different health institutions in Pokhara and they are out of danger.

Police suspect that the speeding EV microbus lost control apparently due to a strong storm and crashed.
