Kathmandu, Feb. 3 -- Thailand defeated the Netherlands by 17 runs in the ongoing Women's T20 series in Kathmandu on Monday. The match, held at the Tribhuvan University Ground in Kirtipur, saw Thailand post a modest total of 86/10 in 19.5 overs. In response, the Netherlands fell short, managing only 69 runs before being bowled out in 15.5 overs.
Chasing a target of 87 runs, the Netherlands struggled against Thailand's disciplined bowling attack. Captain Babette de Leede top-scored for the Dutch side with 25 runs, while Iris Zwilling added 13 and Caroline de Lange contributed 10 runs. However, regular wickets fell, and the Netherlands was unable to reach the target.
