Dang, Feb. 14 -- The government has called for tenders to upgrade the long-delayed Ghorahi-Tulsipur road in Dang.
The project was initially awarded under a conditional loan from India's Exim Bank, but the contract was terminated after the contractor failed to complete the work within the deadline. Now, the road will be upgraded with government funding.
The Madan Bhandari Highway Project Directorate invited bids on Thursday for upgrading the 21.58km road section into a four-lane highway.
According to director Deep Barahi, the project will upgrade the stretch from DK Petrol Pump in Ghorahi to Hattikhauwa in Tulsipur and is expected to be completed within three years.
