Kathmandu, June 15 -- Surya Nepal Premier Golf Championship, the grand finale of the 2024-25 season of the Surya Nepal Golf Tour, tees off on Monday at the Gokarna Golf Club.

According to the Nepal Professional Golfers' Association (NPGA), the championship, which will conclude on June 19, will be played over 72 holes, with a cut applied after 36 holes.

A total of 38 professional golfers will compete in the event for a whopping prize pool of Rs 1.6 million.

"This season-ending championship features the biggest prize purse ever offered in a local tournament," said Rabindra Man Shrestha, President of NPGA. "There's great energy among the players. They have been training hard and are eager to finish the season on a high note."
