Kathmandu, July 21 -- At least six major highways in Nepal have been fully blocked after days of torrential rain triggered floods and landslides, police said on Monday.
The Koshi Highway in Sankhuwasabha, Mechi Highway and the Tamor Corridor in Panchthar have been cut off completely in the eastern part of the country.
The Kaligandaki Corridor in Nawalparasi East, the Sahid Highway in Rolpa, and the Jajarkot-Dolpa section of the Bheri Corridor in Rukum West are also blocked both ways in the western Nepal.
Police said one-way movement is possible on the Tokha-Nuwakot road in Tokha, Kathmandu, sections of the Kaligandaki Corridor in Baglung and Nawalparasi East, the Mid-Hill Highway in Galkot, and parts of the Sahid Highway in Rolpa.
