Kathmandu, June 23 -- Babu Sherpa registered two-stroke victory over Colonel Avaneesh Chambial to clinch the third edition of the Surya Nepal Gokarna Monthly Medal at Gokarna Golf Club on Saturday.
Playing with eight handicap, Sherpa scored seven-under 65 while Chambial carded five-under 67 to finish runner-up. Prabhakar Adhikari was third at four-under 68. Wangchen Dhondup was the gross winner with one-under 71 and Sadbhav Acharya was junior winner with one-under 71 in the event played under stroke play format with full handicap..
Ten medal rounds will be played until December for the club championship. In each medal round top 10 players in nett category, top 5 players in gross category, and top 5 in the junior category are awarded point...
